Direct cataract referral / Pre cataract pathway
Our accredited optometrists can refer suitable patients for surgery directly into the pre-assessment clinic, bypassing the initial hospital out-patient appointments. This helps streamline the process and reduce patient waiting times.
Post cataract assessment
Following routine cataract surgery, patients require a follow-up appointment approximately 3–4 weeks after the procedure to assess healing and visual outcomes. Revolution Eyecare Opticians is registered to provide this service for several hospitals, including Royal Bolton Hospital and Spa-Medica.
Glaucoma repeat readings
Standard non-contact (air-puff) eye pressure tests sometimes detect high intraocular pressure, which, upon further assessment with hospital-grade equipment, may be found to be within normal limits. To help reduce unnecessary hospital visits, Revolution Eyecare Opticians offers repeat eye pressure readings using advanced hospital-grade technology.
