Below is a list of our services and prices. Our private and NHS eye examinations are aimed at correcting problems with vision and examining the general health of the eyes to detect any medical issues that may not be producing symptoms. If you have symptoms that are not likely to be corrected with glasses or contact lenses, such as a red or sore eye, odd lights or shadow in vision, distorted vision, acute onset visual problem etc., a private or NHS eye examination is not suitable. These symptoms are covered under our emergency/acute investigation service (see price below). Alternatively please contact your GP, call 111, or attend A&E. Your GP may advise attending the opticians, but as this is not funded by the NHS, our private emergency fee is payable.

We are happy to discuss contact lens options and prices but a consultation fee will be payable for anything more in depth. Contact lens fitting and check-ups are not funded by the NHS, so the fees below apply. Trial contact lenses are supplied as part of fitting, only if they can be inserted and removed competently. If you have an NHS optical voucher that you don’t wish to use towards glasses, this may be used towards purchasing contact lenses, but once it has been used you will not normally be issued another voucher for 2 years, so further contact lens supply will be charged privately.
